TOWN OF FREMONT 2008 SPRING CLEANUP SCHEDULE

The Town Of Fremont residents will be able to hold Garage Sales, without acquiring a permit, for the week of April 28th thru May 3rd, 2008.

Saturday May 10th, 2008 – Spring Cleanup trash collection will take place for all residences located in Fremont, IN.

Please have your items to the curb by 6 am of the scheduled pick up day.

Accepted items include:

-Household generated garbage/trash
-Bulky items…furniture, dryers, stoves, mattresses, bedsprings, water heaters, dishwashers, carpet (cut /bundled in 4-foot sections), etc.
-Freon appliances (air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers) will only be accepted if properly tagged the freon has been removed by a certified business.

Items NOT accepted:

-Tires
-Freon appliances that are not properly tagged
-Cement blocks
-Lumber and railroad ties
-Household hazardous waste (motor oil, paint, chemicals, solvents, etc.)
-Demolition/construction debris
-Leaves and branches/tree stumps greater than 3 feet in length or unbundled

Contact the Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District at 1-800-777-5462 to dispose of items such as chemicals, cleaners, paint, lead acid batteries, oil, antifreeze, T.V’s, and computers, etc. The District is located on State Road 4 in Ashley and will handle these items for a minimal fee. Call for details and hours. The Solid Waste District does not accept tires. Thank you.
